Newsletter to be revived by Senate

Several years ago a student newsletter was produced by Student Senate for the campus community. While the reasons why the newsletter was discontinued are unknown, Senate President Jeff Garner has called upon the organization to revive the newsletter as a way of communicating with the student body. Ouachita develops Film Society to view, discuss, critique films at a “deeper level”

Flippen residents handle fire “well”

As the ladies of Flippen-Perrin Hall stood in the 50 degree night air around 10:45 last Wednesday, Oct. 24, red and blue police car and fire truck lights lit up the facades of the surrounding buildings. A charred refrigerator and microwave sat in the orange-yellow light of a street lamp and every one was asking the same question: what happened?

Kluck Student Enrichment Grants awarded to seven clubs, programs

Since 1998, Ouachita student organizations have had the opportunity to apply each semester for Kluck Student Enrichment Grants, or KSEGs. These grants, which average between $250 and $300 per organization, are used to maximize student involvement in the community and to enhance student growth. (more…)

Faculty collects student surveys student surveys

Yesterday marked the deadline to complete the student satisfactory survey sent to students through tigermail. As the e-mail states, the survey is used to measure the attitudes of all Ouachita students toward academic and administrative activities of the university and identify areas in which the university has opportunities to improve.
