Lady Tigers young, talented

The Ouachita Lady Tigers started the season last week night with a 111-51 victory over Central Baptist. The win gave Lady Tiger head coach Garry Crowder his 200th career victory at Ouachita. Crowder was presented the game ball before the guys game by David Sharp, director of athletics.

The Ouachita Baptist University women’s basketball had three players reach double figures in scoring as the Lady Tigers knocked off Gulf South Conference East Division foe West Florida, 70-46, Friday night during the Second Annual Dr. Mary Jane Gilbert Classic at the Steelman Fieldhouse.

OBU softball signs four during early signing period

Ouachita Baptist University softball coach Mike McGhee announced Tuesday the signing of four athletes in the early signing period, with one graduating early and attending Ouachita in the spring, with the other three to begin their careers in the fall of 2009.
