Last Tuesday marked historical firsts, not only nationally, but locally as well. Yes, the inauguration of our first African-American president happened on that day. But there was something else. It was the debut of the Ouachita’s new variety show, “Live @ 9.”
“I want the Cards to win, but I think the Steelers will win,” freshman Austin Mitchell said in class one day.
The big game on Feb. 1 is going to be one that goes down in history. If the Arizona Cardinals can pull off a win, then it would be the first Super Bowl win in the franchise’s history.

The Ouachita Baptist University swimming and diving teams dominated rival Henderson State Friday night in the “Dual in the Pool” meet at Waggoner Pool as the men routed the Red Wave, 158-79, and the women cruised to a 136-94 victory during Senior Night. (more…)
Ouachita Baptist University, along with the NCAA, will have a promotional event on Saturday, Jan. 31 as the men’s and women’s basketball teams will take part in a “Take a Kid to the Game Day” against Harding University at Bill Vining Arena. (more…)
