Ouachita Circle earns two awards from business communicators organization

ARKADELPHIA—The Ouachita Circle, Ouachita Baptist University’s alumni magazine, earned a pair of awards Oct. 27 from the Arkansas chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators. The Bronze Quill awards from IABC Arkansas were presented during a ceremony at Philander Smith College in Little Rock.

OBU wind ensemble to perform Nov. 10

ARKADELPHIA, Ark.—The Ouachita Baptist University School of Fine Arts will present a wind ensemble concert on Nov. 10 at 7:30 p.m. The event will be held in Jones Performing Arts Center on Ouachita’s campus and is free to the public.

European study tour enriches student’s passions, changes life

Traveling to Europe changed my life.  I know that statement is a pretty bold one to make, but it is true.  I was able to see so much history, art, architecture and culture while I traveled to Rome, Siena, Florence, Padua, Venice, Paris, Canterbury, Dover, Leeds, and London. I brought back so much insight from traveling to these places that it is hard to even begin to describe what I experienced.

Ark.—Delivering a lecture on “Communication and Social Change—New Mindsets, New Possibilites,” Dr. Arvind Singhal was this year’s featured speaker for Ouachita Baptist University’s annual Birkett Williams endowed lecture series. Singhal, the Samuel and Edna Marston Distinguished Professor of Communication at the University of Texas, El Paso, delivered the lecture Oct. 22 in Ouachita’s McBeth Recital Hall.
