ARKADELPHIA, Ark.—Ian Cosh, a longtime administrator at Ouachita Baptist University, has been named vice president for community and international engagement by Ouachita President Rex Horne.
Cosh, a 1987 Ouachita graduate, has served since 1998 as assistant to the president for community development, director of the Ben M. Elrod Center for Family & Community and Director of the Daniel & Betty Grant Center for International Education. He previously was director of campus ministries, director of religious activities and associate director of the Center for Christian Ministries.

2010 Ouachita grad Alyse Eady crowned Miss Arkansas 2010
ARKADELPHIA, Ark.—Alyse Eady, a 2010 graduate of Ouachita Baptist University, was crowned Miss Arkansas 2010 on Saturday, July 17, at Summit Arena in Hot Springs.
“It was such a surreal moment. I’ve seen the crowning video, and it doesn’t feel like it’s me,” Eady said in an interview with KTHV-11. “I’m still so excited about it, and I’m honored to be Miss Arkansas 2010.”
Ouachita officials to dedicate Heflin Plaza June 10
ARKADELPHIA, Ark.—Heflin Plaza, a $2 million construction project that features a 300-foot-long pedestrian bridge, will be dedicated June 10 at 9:30 a.m. on the campus of Ouachita Baptist University.
Heflin Plaza is a key element in the university’s campus redevelopment and expansion effort approved in 2007 by the Ouachita Board of Trustees. The project is designed to link Ouachita’s North campus and main campus both symbolically and functionally.
Ouachita Baptist University dedicates Hammons House
ARKADELPHIA, Ark.—Continuing the legacy of faithful support of Ouachita Baptist University, trustees of the Hammons Charitable Foundation helped dedicate the Hammons House on Ouachita’s Arkadelphia campus April 27.
Hammons House is one of 12 houses in Ouachita’s Student Village residential complex, which opened last August. The Student Village features two four-story residence halls configured in 12 houses that include 92 private and semi-private suites to accommodate a total of 360 students.
