O uachita Baptist men’s tennis coach Craig Ward announced Thursday that Mike Basler has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Ouachita Baptist this fall.
Basler, a native of Ennetbuergen, Switzerland, is transferring from Cumberland University. He was ranked in the Top 10 in the 16-and-under group prior to entering the United States.

Basler, who is the son of Joergen and Claudia Basler, reached the Swiss National Junior Tournament semifinals. Last season, he had a 24-3 mark in singles action and during his first year at Cumberland, went 28-3 in doubles, while being ranked in the Top 20.
