T he Ouachita Baptist volleyball team is still searching for its first Gulf South Conference West Division victory after the Lady Tigers dropped a 3-0 match Tuesday night to Arkansas-Monticello at Steelman Fieldhouse.
The Cotton Blossoms (13-8 overall, 1-1 GSC West) took the match with scores of 25-9, 25-19, 28-26.
Libby Merritt paced Ouachita’s offensive attack with seven kills, while Anna Ryan had six. Lexie Hegi finished with 13 assists and Lauren Stuart had a team-high 11 digs.

Mallory Storm led Arkansas-Monticello with 11 kills. Meagan Martin chipped in with 27 assists and 13 digs, while Stephanie Hatten added 10.

Ouachita (3-15, 0-3) plays host 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 2 to rival Henderson State in a Gulf South Conference West Division match at the Sturgis Center.
