U.S. Army LTC Clark Easter, professor of military science for the joint Ouachita Baptist University/Henderson State University ROTC program, presented a U.S. flag to Ray Granade, Ouachita’s director of library services.
The flag, which flew over the headquarters of the multi-national corps in Baghdad, Iraq, was presented to Ouachita in honor of all OBU ROTC and alumni veterans. It will be displayed in Ouachita’s Riley-Hickingbotham Library. LTC Easter, a 1985 Ouachita graduate, served in Iraq with the 39th Brigade Combat Team of the Arkansas National Guard. Noting that Ouachita “has an extremely rich and proud history of military officers,” Easter said the gift is a “thank you and memento” in honor of Ouachita’s support of ROTC training.
