Askew named to the 2009 Hilltopper Volleyball Classic All-Tournament Team

Ouachita Baptist University freshman Megan Askew was named to the 2009 Hilltopper Volleyball Classic All-Tournament Team on Sept. 5 announced by tournament officials.

The Weatherford, Texas native had a solid four-match tournament for Ouachita, including a balanced statistical sheet in every match. Askew had her best in Ouachita’s only win over Texas A&M University-International, as she recorded 13 kills, eight digs and seven blocks to lead the squad. The freshman also added seven kills against Southeastern Oklahoma State and St. Edwards.

Ouachita travels to Sherman, Texas for the Austin College Tournament on Sept. 11. The Lady Tigers will return for their next home match on Sept. 22 for the Gulf South Conference opener against Arkansas Tech.
