Division of Music presents C.E. Fifer and Ashley Partridge in sophomore musical theatre recitals

C.E. Fifer, a junior musical theatre major from Olney, Ill., and Ashley Partridge, a sophomore musical theatre major from Russellville, Ark., will present their sophomore musical theatre recitals on Feb. 20 at 11 a.m. in Mabee Fine Arts Center’s McBeth Recital Hall on the campus of Ouachita Baptist University.

Fifer will perform Alessandro Scarlatti’s “Toglietemi la vita ancor,” followed by W.A. Mozart’s “An Chloe” and Claude Debussy’s “Beau Soir.” He will conclude his recital with Richard Rodger’s “I Have Dreamed” from The King and I and Jason Robert Brown’s “Shiksa Goddess” from The Last 5 Years. Fifer will be accompanied by Susan Monroe.

Partridge will open her recital with Leonard Bernstein’s ”I Feel Pretty” from West Side Story, assisted by Lynley Vire and Taylor Bass, followed by Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik’s “Whispering” from Spring Awakening. She will then perform a scene from Claudia Reilly’s “Astronauts” and will conclude with Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “Sunrise” from In the Heights, assisted by Michael Krikorian. Partridge will be accompanied by Linda Thompson.
