Humans of OBU

April 19, 2016

“So I knew Ryan was coming down for Christian Focus Week this past semester and I texted him, ‘When will you be here? Let’s meet up.’ He said he was in Malvern which is like 20-30 minutes away but he said, ‘I’ll be there in 5 minutes.’ I was like, ‘Oh ha ha. Whatever.’ Then he said, ‘No seriously, I’m in a helicopter. So I’ll be there soon.’ I didn’t believe him and he kept saying, ‘No, seriously.’ And for some stupid reason I believed him. So I told him to send me a picture and literally like two seconds later he sends me a picture. He says, ‘Yeah, my friend who’s in med school with me, he has a helicopter and he’s giving me a ride to Ouachita.’ I was with my friend Keylie and I was freaking out and telling her about it. Then he tells me I need to come pick him up down at the intramural fields. I was like, ‘Okay, just tell me when!’ So he calls me and it sounds like he’s in a helicopter, but really he had his windows in his car rolled down. I thought, ‘Oh my gosh, he is legitimately in a helicopter.’ So I go to the intramural fields waiting for him to get there and he pulls up in his car with his arm out his window videotapping me because it wasn’t true.”
