OBU men’s soccer falls to Montevallo

The Ouachita Baptist men’s soccer team surrendered two quick first-half goals and couldn’t recover as the Tigers fell to Montevallo, 3-0, Sunday afternoon in a Gulf South Conference match at the OBU Soccer Complex.
The Falcons (7-4 overall, 3-0 GSC) came out shooting the ball and registered six shots before getting one past Tigers goalkeeper Neal Ozmun.

Nathaniel Foster scored both Montevallo goals as his first one was in the fifth minute as his shot banged off the right post and into the net on an assists by Otavio Tramontina and Milan Pualic. His second was set up by James Ward and Daniel Pelletier in the sixth minute.

Lucas Manzoli scored the games final goal in the 57th minute on assists by Tramontina and Ward to give the Falcons a 3-0 advantage.

Ozmun, who was under pressure all day, had eight saves. David Esser finished with three saves for the Falcons.

Ouachita (2-3-1, 0-2-1) returns to action 3 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 12 at Delta State.
