Tiger Serve Day

September 10, 2010

Tiger Serve Day is a day where students (and faculty) can go out into the community and serve people. Raking leaves, mowing yards, painting houses, and washing windows are only some of the many things students do for the Arkadelphia community. Tiger Serve Day is a part of the Elrod Center here at OBU and has been growing ever since the beginning. Service has always been at the heart of Ouachita and is even on the official Ouachita seal. Romans 12:1 puts it nicely,

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship.”

This verse encompasses what Ouachatonians are all about, service. If you would like to be apart of Tiger Serve Day and want to serve, you can sign up at www.obu.edu/serve
