Scripture writes that we are made in the image of God. This is a beautiful truth and where we find identity. Throughout the scope of life, our experiences shape our God image – the perception we have on who God is. One’s concept of God refers to their conscious and intellectual view of him based on what they have learned. The God image on the other hand has to do with one’s emotional view of Him. Oftentimes individual’s God image is broken and thereby it is difficult for them to understand the true character of God. This misshapen view of God can be fixed in a holistic healing of sorts which includes good theology and a community of love. God is present on this campus. He is present in our lives. He is omnipresent, yet we so often miss out on precious encounters with our Lord and Savior. These weekly devotions serve as an encouragement of the ways we have seen God in our lives. Our hope and prayer is that through our Images of God, you are reminded of the sweet truth that we are made in the image of God. What a blessing!
