Women’s Golf Places Fourth at HSU Invitational

The Ouachita Lady Tiger golf team competed in the HSU Lady Reddie Invitational over the weekend, placing fourth of the six teams that participated. Ouachita collected a total team score of 725, after posting combined scores of 368 and 357 in the two round event.

The Lady Tigers were led by Emily Sinclair, who finished 13th overall in the tournament with an overall score of 172. Sinclair posted an 84 in her first round and an 82 in her second round. Caitlin Jones placed 17th for the Lady Tigers with an overall score of 181. Jones posted a 92 in her first round, which she followed up with an 89.

Amber Beachman placed 18th, finishing the invitational with an overall score of 185. Beachman started off her weekend with a 94, improving to a 91 during her second round. Morgan Morehead took 19th place for the Lady Tigers, finishing just two strokes behind Jones with a 187. Morehead’s first round was a 94, which she followed with a 93 in her second round. Callie Horner rounded out the field for Ouachita, placing 20th with an overall score of 192. Horner posted a 97 during her first round and a 95 in her second round.

The overall first place finisher was Whitley Patterson of Southern Arkansas, who finished with a final score of 160.
