Ouachita Holds No. 20 in AFCA Coaches Poll After Loss to Harding

October 23, 2012

WACO, Tex.- The Ouachita Tiger football team has remained in the AFCA Coaches Poll Top 25 this week following their loss in a Top 25 match-up to previously No. 25 Harding. The Tigers entered last week as the No. 10 team in the country, but fell to No. 20 after their loss on Saturday.

Ouachita still holds a 6-1 record on the year, including a 4-1 mark in Great American Conference play despite the loss and a shot at the Great American Conference championship is still attainable. The Tigers have games with East Central, Southern Arkansas and Henderson State left though, so the rest of their schedule is not going to be a cakewalk.

Ouachita heads to Ada, Oklahoma this week to take on the Tigers of East Central University. That game is scheduled for a 2 p.m. kickoff on Saturday.
