Askew Named GAC Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark.- For the first time in the 2012 season, the Ouachita Lady Tiger volleyball team has received a GAC Player of the Week Selection. Megan Askew was named as GAC Defensive Player of the Week following her performances in the Lady Tigers’ two conference victories over Henderson State and Southeastern Oklahoma State last week.

Askew recorded 10 blocks and 27 digs between the two games, averaging 1.25 blocks per set and 3.68 digs per set during the week. She helped the lead the Lady Tigers to their first two conference road victories during the week, including a five set victory at Southeastern Oklahoma State on Friday afternoon.
