OBU Division of Music presents J.S. Garrett in senior composition recital

ARKADELPHIA, Ark.—J.S. Garrett, a senior music theory and composition major from Garland, Texas, will present his senior composition recital on April 8 at 8 p.m. in Mabee Fine Arts Center’s McBeth Recital Hall on the campus of Ouachita Baptist University.

Garrett was the first recipient of the Patrick Houlihan Music Scholarship and has been named to OBU’s Dean’s and President’s Lists.

Garrett personally composed all of the music in his recital. He will begin with “Spark,” “unlove’s the heavenless hell” and “Epitaph.” He will continue with “Withered Hand,” “Firestar” and “i carry your heart.” “Echo & Flow” and “Revelation” will bring the recital to a close.
