
ARKADELPHIA- Ouachita Baptist sophomore Beth Wendl was named to the 2010 CoSida ESPN Academic All-District Women’s Soccer Team as a third team selection, officials announced on Tuesday.
Wendl has excelled in both the classroom and on the field, sporting a 3.47 GPA as a double major in Biology and Secondary Education. On the field, the Plano, Texas native led the Lady Tigers with 12 goals and 13 assists in 2010. Wendl finished second in the Gulf South Conference in assists, while finishing fourth in goals. Ouachita finished the 2010 season at 8-8-2 overall, winning the regular season finale over Houston-Victoria on Sunday, 5-1.
