OBU cross country 5th at Bison Stampede

The Ouachita Baptist University women’s cross country team placed fifth during Saturday’s Ted Lloyd Bison Stampede at Camp Wildewood.

The Lady Tigers finished with 157 points as host Harding won the meet with 26 points. Following the Lady Bisons were Southwest Baptist (32), Drury (107) and Arkansas Tech (123). Henderson State (179) and Christian Brothers (194) rounded out the field.

Hannah Howard (21st) crossed the line in 19:58 to lead Ouachita. Logan Lyles (27th) came across in 20:17. Amanda Boyce (36th) was the third Lady Tiger runner to finish in 20:59. Hannah Wagley (44th) was 22:03, while Nikki Anderson (53rd) and Avery Begley (57th) came in 22:44 and 23:18, respectively. Danielle Pickle (66th) rounded out the day for Ouachita by coming in 25:01.

The Bison Stampede wrapped up the regular season for the Lady Tigers as Ouachita will take part Friday, Oct. 24 in the Gulf South Conference Championships in Birmingham, Ala.
