Cross country takes third

The Ouachita cross country team placed third Saturday morning in the Orange Crush Invitational hosted by Hendrix College.
The Lady Tigers finished with 69 points as Southern Arkansas won the meet with 33 points. Arkansas Tech was second with 55 points. Following Ouachita was Hendrix (80), Henderson State (109), Central Baptist (193) and the University of the Ozarks (203).


Sophomore Hannah Howard led the Lady Tigers by placing fourth with a time of 20:22. Junior Logan Whitlow was eighth in 20:33. Junior Hannah Wagley (15th) and Senior Jessica Terrill (17th) crossed the finish line in times of 21:19 and 21:38, respectively. Sophomore Amanda Boyce took 25th with a time of 22:01. Rounding out the field for Ouachita was Senior Brandi Crane (29th) and Junior Brittany Norton (32nd) with times of 22:19 and 22:49.

The Lady Tigers run again on Saturday, Oct. 6 in Memphis, Tenn., at the Memphis Twilight.
