House named GSC Softball Player of the Week

ARKADELPHIA- Ouachita Baptist freshman Rayn House has been named as the
Gulf South Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week, officials announced
on Tuesday.

The Paris, Texas native was spectacular on the mound in earning her
first GSC weekly award. The freshman collected two victories against GSC
West Division leader Arkansas Tech over the weekend. House allowed just
four hits in 7.2 innings of work, without allowing a single run in
helping Ouachita (18-18, 12-8 GSC West) win the series at 3-1.

In Game 2 on Saturday, the freshman picked up the win in relief, going
2.2 innings in shutting down the Golden Suns (26-16, 16-6 GSC West) at
the plate. On Sunday, House took an 8-0 win in going five innings and
allowing just two hits total.

On the season, House is 7-4 with a 2.89 ERA in 65.1 innings of work.
House has totaled 58 strikeouts in her debut collegiate season.
