Humans of OBU: Faculty Couples

March 6, 2016

“I had graduated a year early so I was in Kentucky at seminary and she was still in Kansas. Over Christmas Break I drove pretty much all night to get back to our college town. I was supposed to be there the next day because it was supposed to be a surprise but the roads were snowy. I was going to stop by her parents house on the way to ask for their blessing. So they called her to make sure I had made it safely and ruined the surprise. I didn’t realize she was waiting for me and didn’t think it was that big of a deal that I was late but I was really late so she thought I was dead or something.”
