Humans of OBU: Professors

February 17, 2016

“Well I have so many memories that are so pleasant of being a teacher. I have had many enjoyable students through the years and sometimes an unusual student through the year. One of last year’s graduates, Noah Hutchinson, comes to mind because he’s the only person who gave me a hatchet upon his graduation. It was kind of a gift to me. I normally don’t get gifts from students who are graduating and I’ve never gotten a hatchet before but he really like medieval weaponry and he felt like everybody needed a hatchet or at least all men needed one, he thought. So he gave me one. I don’t keep it at the office because I think that’s illegal but I do keep it at home as a memory of Noah.”
