ARKADELPHIA- For a second-straight night, Ouachita Baptist shot above 40 percent, defeating North Alabama, 78-53, in a Gulf South Conference Crossover match up at Bill Vining Arena on Friday.

It was a story of points off of turnovers for Ouachita (2-0), as the Lady Tigers again showed supremacy on the offensive end, shooting 44 percent overall and producing four players in double figures against North Alabama (1-1). Ouachita recorded 29 points off of turnovers, while also holding a 21-10 edge in second chance points. Ouachita started the 2010 season a night ago at Bill Vining Arena with a 95-73 victory over Alabama-Huntsville.

The score was tied at 12-12 with 12:42 left in the first, but Ouachita went on a 22-5 run in the final 12 minutes to breeze into halftime with a comfortable lead.

In the second half, it was smooth sailing for the Lady Tigers, as North Alabama cut it to a 15-point lead with 12:55 left at 47-32, but it would be the closest the Lions would get.
