Merritt and Frizzell named to CBU All-Tournament Team

MEMPHIS, Tenn.- Ouachita junior Libby Merritt and freshman Allison Frizzell were both named to the Christian Brothers All-Tournament Team for their efforts in volleyball over the weekend, tournament officials announced on Tuesday.

Merritt finished with 45 kills in four matches to lead Ouachita to four-straight victories in the tournament. The Conway native added six digs for the Lady Tigers. Merritt is a 2010 Gulf South Conference preseason All-Conference selection. Frizzell led Ouachita with 89 digs and four assists. The McKinney, Texas native is the reigning 2009 Gulf South Conference Freshman of the Year.

Ouachita finished the tournament with a 4-0 record, recording wins over Illinois-Springfield (3-1), Missouri Western (3-2), Stillman College (3-1) and Cameron (3-0).
