OBU announces schedule of speakers for spring chapel

The spring semester’s chapel schedule begins Jan. 20, and OBU has announced the semester’s schedule of speakers.

January 20: Dr. Danny Hays, dean of the Pruet School of Christian Studies

January 2: Rev. Stan Parris*, pastor of Second Baptist Church, Arkadelphia

February 3 : Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Dr. Lewis Shepherd, assistant to the President for Special Programs & pastor of Greater Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Arkadelphia

February 10: Christian Focus Week, Wes Hamilton, teaching pastor at Lake Pointe Church; Rockwall, Texas

February 17: Dr. Joey Dodson, Assistant Professor of Biblical Studies (Int. Food Festival at Walker in the evening)

February 24: Ouachita Singers under the direction of Dr. Gary Gerber

March 3: Rev. Dru Dodson*, pastor of Lake Valley Community Church in Hot Springs

March 10: Dating, Engagement and Marriage Week; Dan Jarboe, University Counselor

March 17: Trennis Henderson, OBU VP for Communications

March 24: Spring Break

March 31: Student Testimonies in word and song! Moderated by Ian Cosh & Rob Hewell

April 7: Jonathan Martin—Contemporary Christian Music Artist

April 14: Bishop Steven Arnold, senior pastor of St. Mark Baptist Church, Little Rock

April 21: Dr. Byron Eubanks, Professor of Philosophy, Discovering and doing the will of God in our Contemporary World
