ARKADELPHIA- Junior Kristen Rigsbee has been named Gulf South Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week, conference officials announced Tuesday. The award is the third weekly conference award that Rigsbee has received in her collegiate career.

Rigsbee (2-1) picked up a pair of victories in three starts and recorded a 1.40 ERA as Ouachita began the 2010 season at 4-1. The Frisco, Texas native struck out 26 batters in 20 innings, including a 10-strikeout, complete game shutout of Southwest Baptist, 1-0, on Sunday. The junior also received GSC Pitcher of the Week and Player of the Week honors during her sophomore campaign.
