Tigers defeat Bulldogs 54-14

The Tigers defeated the Southwestern Okla. State Bulldogs this Saturday 54-14 on the shoulders of a defense that scored three touchdowns this afternoon.

Matthew Ehaz would nail a field goal after the initial Tiger drive stalled, to give the Tigers a 3-0 lead.

Tim Morovick would scamper down to the five-yard line on a quarterback scramble and then get to the Ouachita one-yard line on a designed run on the next play. Karl Hodge would punch it in on the next play for a Bulldog touchdown.

Frazier would then connect with Brandon Marks for a 32-yard touchdown to put Ouachita ahead 10-7 early in the first quarter.

On the next play, the Bulldogs would fumble and Kyle Lamothe would recover and take it to the house for another Ouachita touchdown to put the Tigers ahead 17-7.

R.J, Oladejo recovered a Bulldog fumble and the Tigers would take over with just over 10 minutes left to play in the second. Frazier would take the ball six yards on third down and Matthew Ehaz would nail a 36-yard field goal to give the Tigers a 20-7 lead with 7:39 left in the game.

On a Tiger punt, the Bulldogs would fumble and the Tigers would recover on the Bulldog 16. Frazier would hit Evian Hill from five yards out to give the Tigers a 27-7 lead.

On first down, Kyle Lamothe would gain his second touchdown off a fumble recovery. The extra point was no good, giving the Tigers a 33-7 lead.

At Halftime, the Tigers had 189 total yards on 35 plays. 115 of those yards came on rushes. The Bulldogs fumbled four times in the first half, two of which being returned for touchdowns.

The Tigers would add seven points to the score, when Frazier would score from one yard out on fourth down.

Following a 36 yard punt return from Etauj Allen early in the fourth quarter, Kehner would score on one play from seven yards out to make the score 47-7 with 14:38 left to play in the game.

At 12: 17 left in the game, A.J. Burton would intercept a pass from Klark Ashmore and go 70 yards for a touchdown. After the extra point, the Tigers led 54-7.

The Bulldogs would respond with a 39-yard touchdown pass from Ashmore to Teverick Boyd with 9:55 remaining in the game.

With 1:38 remaining in the game, the Bulldogs would score once again to make the score 54-21.
