Tigersharks Record Second, Eleventh Place Finishes On Final Day of NCAA Championships

The last day of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships in Birmingham, Alabama saw the Ouachita Tigersharks notching a second place finish in the 100 Yard Freestyle and an eleventh place finish in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay.

Ouachita’s Marcus Schlesinger recorded the second place finish in the 100 Yard Freestyle, falling just four tenths of a second short of his second national title for the year. He posted a time of 43.56, which is less than just a second off of the national record.

Schlesinger, along with Kenton Scott, Kody Moffatt and Jacob McLain, combined to finish eleventh in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 3:00.22.

The Tigersharks ended up 16th in team points with 90 at the NCAA Championships. Drury University took the national title as a team with 546 points, while Florida Southern finished second and Incarnate Word finished third with 397 and 389 points respectively.
