ARKADELPHIA- Ouachita Baptist junior Gabby Coleman has been named to the 2010 Gulf South Conference Women’s Basketball Second Team, conference officials announced on Tuesday.

Coleman finished fourth in the GSC in scoring, averaging 16.6 points per game, while also finishing eighth in steals with 54, tenth in three-point field goals made with 47 and tenth in blocked shots with 18.

The junior led Ouachita in scoring, minutes (32.7), while finishing second in three-points made (47) and free-throws made (113) and finishing second in steals and assists.

Coleman was named to the UAM Classic All-Tournament Team earlier this season and scored a season-high 27 points in a 59-58 victory over Incarnate Word on Nov. 28.

Leading the way with two selections each on the All-GSC West Division squads were Harding, Arkansas Tech and Delta State. Delta State’s Veronica Walker was selected as the Gulf South Conference West Division Player of the Year, as Jessica Weatherford of Arkansas Tech earned GSC West Freshman of the Year. Delta State Head Coach Sandra Rushing earned GSC Coach of the Year honors. The All-GSC squads were voted on by conference head coaches in the GSC West Division.
