Whitfield finishes in Top 10

Please join me in congratulating Miss Ouachita Baptist University, Bethany Whitfield on her Top 10 finish at the 2009 Miss Arkansas Pageant!  In addition to being named in the Top 10, Bethany also received several other awards.  On Friday evening she won the Preliminary Evening Gown award.  Saturday she received the Crowd Favorite Award, the Mary Rose Garner Overall Vocalist Award, and the Dr. Rhys Branham and Dr. Michael Devlin Newcomer Award.  Bethany was awarded nearly $3000 in scholarships Saturday night at the pageant.

Also, please congratulate Lauren English on the many awards she received Saturday evening as well.  Lauren received over $2700 in scholarships and awards.

A huge thank you goes out to the Ouachita students, faculty, staff, and alumni who were there to support our Ouachita contestants.  We were well represented at the pageant. Thanks again for your support!
