•The Kinesiology and Leisure Studies Department will be opening the indoor climbing wall starting Monday, Sept. 8. The hours will be 3-7 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Certified belayers are Greg Peterson and Robert Steed, and climbing rules and regulations will be posted. Please wear climbing shoes or athletic shoes with light colored soles.  The wall is located in the back of the arena (right side from the lobby). For additional information call Tona Wright, ext. 5295.

•The division of music in the School of Fine Arts will host “I Do, I Do,” a faculty musical theatre recital with a marriage theme, on Tuesday, Sept. 9, at 7:30 p.m. in the McBeth Recital Hall of Mabee Fine Arts Center. A reception will immediately follow the recital in the Hammons Gallery.  Both are open to the public, and admission is free. For more information contact Jon Secrest at (870) 245-5134 or via e-mail at secrestj@obu.edu.

•Register for TransServe, a program noting service to the community on student’s transcripts. A minimum of 20 hours of service per semester is required. Participants must register every semester. Examples of service projects include service at a non-profit agency, Tiger Serve Day, service through a class, leading a freshman family group and volunteer service through Campus Ministries or the Elrod Center.

•The remnants of Gustav, the hurricane that hit the Louisiana coast Monday, will bring constant rain into most of Arkansas through tomorrow. Flood warnings have been issued for much of the state since Monday night, and light winds caused minor damage. Meterologists projected Gustav to be a Category 5, but it downsized to a Category 2 before it reached the coastline. Today has a 20 percent chance of rain, and tomorrow will be mostly sunny.
