February 5, 2009

The Ouachita Baptist University men’s soccer program announced four players have signed national letters of intent during Wednesday’s National Signing Day.

The Tigers signed three players from Texas – Austin Lewis, Jason Cantwell and Sergiu Postolache. Meanwhile, the Tigers got one player from Canada – Zach Pinkston.

The Lady Tigers had a mixture of players from Arkansas and Texas. Ouachita signed from Arkansas Taylor Gay, Mary Whisenhunt and Carrie Lieblong. The Lady Tigers added Sarah McKimmey, Rebecca Cochrum and Brittany Davidson from Texas.

“The incoming class is looking very strong on both the men’s and women’s sides,” Ouachita coach Alex Denning said. “They will be great additions to a team that already is showing a lot of potential for the season to come.”
