OBU cross country 27th at Memphis Twilight

The Ouachita Baptist women’s cross country team competed in the Memphis Twilight Classic Saturday with the Lady Tigers finishing 27th.

Arkansas won the meet, followed by Kentucky and UAB. Harding, which was the first Gulf South Conference and Division II school in the top 10, was eighth.

Hannah Howard led the way for Ouachita Baptist, placing 75th in a time of 20:32. Logan Lyles (22.32) and Amanda Boyce (22:36) were 142nd and 145th, respectively. Monica Davis (25:00) finished 218th, while Avery Begley (25:08) was 218th. Rounding out the field for Ouachita Baptist was Marcie Bealer (26:50) in 254th place.

The Lady Tigers return to action Saturday, Sept. 20 in Magnolia, Ark., at the Southern Arkansas Mulerider Invitational.
