OBU cross country second at Mulerider Invitational

Hannah Howard finished eight seconds behind Southern Arkansas’ Kendall Mears to take second as the Ouachita Baptist cross country team placed second behind the Lady Muleriders during Saturday’s Mulerider Invitational.

Howard finished the course in 20:34, while Mears was 20:26.

Southern Arkansas had 32 points, while Ouachita Baptist finished with 45. Henderson State and East Texas Baptist rounded out the top four with 53 and 80 points, respectively.

Logan Lyles was third in 21:59 and Amanda Boyce (10th) in 23:34 to have four Lady Tigers in the top 10. Avery Begley (14th) came in 24:28 and Nikki Anderson (16th) in 24:44. Marcie Bealer (23rd) crossed at 27:20. Danielle Pickler rounded out the team in 24th in 27:22.

Ouachita Baptist has a very quick turnaround as the Lady Tigers will take part, Tuesday, Sept. 23 in the Bob Gravette Invitational in Arkadelphia, Ark.
