Golf takes 13th at Pepsi Crawford-Wade Invitational

The Ouachita Baptist University men’s golf team completed play Tuesday afternoon in the Pepsi Crawford-Wade Invitational by taking 13th place with a 963 at the Tanglewood Country Club.

Central Oklahoma won the event by shooting a 14-over-par 878. Arkansas Tech was second with a 47-over 911, while St. Mary’s shot a 51-over 915 for third. Behind St. Mary’s were Texas A&M-Commerce (920), Henderson State (933), Midwestern State (937), Incarnate Word (944), Southeastern Oklahoma State (944), Rockhurst (947), Southwestern Oklahoma State (947), East Central (951), West Texas A&M (952), Ouachita (963), Oklahoma Panhandle State (989), Harding (991) and Southern Arkansas (1,031).

Blake Sisson paced the Tigers by shooting a final round 81 for a three-day total of 236 to finish tied for 26th. Rob Greer fired an 82 (239) to place 39th, while Dax Demaree, who was 58th, shot an 83 (246). Cole Fisher was 60th with an 85 (248) and Klayton Seyler rounded out the scoring for Ouachita with a 79 (254) to finish 72nd.

The Tigers return to the links March 30-31 at the UNA Classic in Florence, Ala., at the Fighting Joe Golf Course.
