Hendrix Uses Early Goal To Defeat Lady Tigers

September 10, 2009

An early goal at the 1:35 mark would be just enough for Hendrix College, as they defeated the Lady Tigers in  a non-conference women’s soccer match in Conway on Tuesday.

Ouachita (2-3) allowed  an unassisted goal to Blair Sanning at 1:35, and then shut Hendrix College down for the rest of the match.

Senior Goalkeeper Whitley Hoppe collected nine saves in 90 minutes in the net. Hendrix (2-0) outshot Ouachita 19-8, while also leading in shots on goal with 11.

The Lady Tigers return to the field against the University of Ozarks on Friday in Arkadelphia, beginning at 2 p.m.
