OBU’s Pierce named to All-GSC women’s soccer second team

Ouachita Baptist University senior midfielder Lauren Pierce was named Wednesday to the All-Gulf South Conference Women’s Soccer Second Team.

Pierce, a native of Grand Prairie, Texas, played in all 10 games for the Lady Tigers. She recorded six goals and three assists for 15 points.

West Florida’s Shaneka Gordon took home GSC Player of the Year honors, while Harding’s Chelsea Brandon earned the Freshman of the Year award. Joe Bartlinski of West Florida was selected the GSC Coach of the Year.
