OBU women’s basketball sixth in latest South Region Rankings

The Ouachita Baptist University women’s basketball team leaped four spots to No. 6 in the latest NCAA Division II South Region Rankings released Wednesday afternoon.

The Lady Tigers, who were 10th in last week’s rankings, jumped to No. 6. Delta State remains in the top spot, followed by Fort Valley State, Tampa, Rollins and West Georgia. Behind Ouachita is Arkansas-Monticello, Clark Atlanta, Arkansas Tech and Valdosta State.

Teams from the SIAC, Sunshine State and Gulf South Conference have automatic bids into the NCAA Division II Regional Tournament. The tournament selection will be 8 p.m., (Central Time), Sunday, March 8.
