During the summer of 2015, lead student television editor and current staff writer Matthew Ablon took up an internship with a local news website in his hometown of Paris, Texas. Ablon was assigned to report on the pre-trial hearings involving a local high school student who stands accused in the murder of his own grandmother.
Ablon sat down and talked about his experience covering the story as an intern reporter and offers some advice to his fellow aspiring journalists.
