ARKADELPHIA- Ouachita Baptist sophomore Rizvan Ceka has been named Gulf South Conference Player of the Week, conference officials announced on Tuesday.

Ceka becomes the second player for Ouachita this season to earn a weekly GSC award, after senior teammate Alex Tonrey earned GSC Defensive Player of the Week honors on Sept. 7.

The Coppell, Texas native scored a pair of goals in a 4-1 victory over Harding on Sept. 16, giving the Tigers a 2-0 advantage after 20 minutes of play. The forward scored at the 13:31 and 20:34 marks.

On the season, Ceka leads Ouachita with four goals and eight points overall, including a game-winning goal. The Tigers are 4-2 in 2010, and currently stand at No. 6 in the NSCAA Regional Rankings.

Ouachita returns to the field on Wednesday, Sept. 22 against Texas College in Arkadelphia at 4 p.m.
