OBU men’s soccer chosen seventh by GSC

The Ouachita Baptist men’s soccer team was chosen by the Gulf South Conference Coaches Friday to finish seventh.
The Tigers, who went 7-6 last season and just missed a shot at the Gulf South Conference Tournament, received six votes. Five-time Gulf South Conference Champions West Florida aims for league history in attempting to claim its third straight title after receiving 34 votes. In a close second was Montevallo with 32. Behind the Falcons were Christian Brothers (27), Delta State (16), UAH (16) and Harding (16).

Senior Andreas Kruase was tabbed as a Gulf South Conference Top Newcomer.

Ouachita Baptist, under the direction of new head coach Alex Denning, open play 5:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 6 at home against Drury.
