Ouachita Falls to HSU Reddies 42-7

November 10, 2012

ARKADELPHIA, Ark.- The 86th installment of the Southern Bancorp Battle of the Ravine game occurred on Saturday, although it didn’t go quite the way that the Ouachita Tigers (6-4, 4-4 GAC) would have liked. Henderson State (10-0, 8-0 GAC) jumped out to a 35-7 first half lead, which they never relented, taking a 42-7 victory.

A record 12,035 people attended Saturday’s game, marking the highest number ever to witness a match-up between the two teams.

The loss caps off a 6-4 season for the Tigers, marking the fifth straight winning season for the Tiger football program. Ouachita is the only program in the state to boast such a streak.
