April 26, 2010

ARKADELPHIA- Ouachita Baptist Head Baseball Coach Chris Moddelmog has announced the Summer Skills Camp and Prospect Camp dates for the upcoming summer.

The Tigers will open the summer with a Prospect Camp on June 7 for all interested high school baseball players from 9th-12th grade who wish to tryout for the Ouachita Baptist baseball coaching staff. The camp will include one day of instruction and evaluation from Ouachita coaching via a pro-style workout and competitive games. The camp cost is $100 and will include a camp t-shirt and instruction from program staff that have coached All-Americans and current Major League Baseball players, as Ouachita Baptist was the 2008 NCAA Division II Baseball National Championship Runners-Up.

The Summer Skills Camp date has also been set for June 8-9 at Rab Rodgers Field for students ranging from ages 6-14. The Summer Skills Camp will include two days of instruction on the fundamentals of baseball: hitting, fielding, pitching and base running from the Ouachita coaching staff. The cost for the camp is $50 and includes a camp t-shirt.
