‘Footloose’ to premiere April 21-23

The Ouachita Baptist University School of Fine Arts is opening perforance of their latest production Footloose this weekend.  Footloose is a musical based on the classic 1984 film starring Kevin Bacon. The musical follows a teenager from Chicago who moves to a small town where dancing is outlawed, and his attempt to bring some life back into the town.

Students on and off the stage have been working long and hard on Footloose ever since they got back from Christmas break.  Whether they’re performing or working backstage, many students have had a role in bring this musical together.

The musical will run April 21-23 at 7:30 p.m. and April 24 at 2:30 p.m. at Jones Performing Art Center. Tickets are free for students and $12 for the public.
